    5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!!!, May 5, 2016

I really love this hutch. I was a little hesitant to purchase it, because it didn't have a lot of reviews, and the ones it did have weren't that great. However, I am very happy with my purchase. It is just what I was looking for.
    - I agree with the other reviewers, in that this probably would not weather well if you are looking for an outdoor hutch. The roof panels are thick, heavy, and sturdy. But the rest of the hutch is made of soft wood that probably wouldn't last more than a season or two outdoors, plus I don't feel that it is sturdy enough to protect from night time predators. None of this is a problem for me since I bought it for my indoor space.
    - The look of this hutch sold me. I wanted one that would look really nice in my living room, and this is just beautiful.
    - I usually have my husband assemble things, but this was so easy to assemble that I was easily able to do it during my baby's nap time before my husband got home. No words in the instructions, only easy to follow pictures.
    - Some buyers had complaints about the hutch arriving damaged. Mine arrived in perfect condition by FedEx.
    - I didn't have one problem with wood splitting during assembly.
    - Many complained that this is too small. I agree that it would be tight for a large breed rabbit. I have a Mini Rex, and this is plenty of space for him, plus I keep a metal exercise pen wrapped around the hutch to give him more space. I would even feel comfortable adding another small breed rabbit.
    - The bottom level does not have a floor or a tray underneath, so I put a plastic dog kennel tray under mine that fit perfectly to protect my floors. My rabbit is litter trained, so it is rare for him to have a pee accident anyway.
    - Some complain about the fact that there is no wire floor in the second level over the pull out tray. Again, my rabbit is litter trained so it isn't a problem, no pee or poop to sit in.
    - There were complaints that the attic door was too small?? I have I guess average size hands for a woman and I find it quite easy to reach into all corners of the attic. It is generously sized with way more room than I need for all my supplies.

This new hutch is much better suited for indoor use than outdoor, unlike the product description claims. The wire is thin and could easily be broken by predators. I almost didn't buy this hutch because of the bad reviews but I'm glad I bought it anyway. I have one Dutch rabbit and it is enough room for her. I put a doormat under the cage to protect my carpet. I like the storage space on top; it's just enough room to store supplies for one rabbit. The whole structure was very easy to put together. I'm especially pleased with the variety of environment within the hutch. There is a dark more private room upstairs for when she wants shade or to be alone. There's a room that is great for digging and privacy but still good for seeing out. And then there's the bottom where she can be more social. The only complaint I have is that there was a long crack in the wood where the upper door hinges onto the hutch. It looks very fragile in that area and I'm surprised they would even send it out like that. I've just decided to not use that door lest it breaks. Thankfully there are three other doors. Overall my rabbit and I are super happy with this hutch. It's very beautiful and cozy.

5.0 out of 5 stars My bun loves her new hutch!, January 4, 2017

It's such a charming little house! My 3 lbs. lionhead bunny loves it! At first I was worried that the ramp leading to the second floor was too steep for her. It took her a few days to understand that there was a second floor but afterwards I couldn't get her to come out of it! She just wants to sit in her house and enjoy. When she scrambles up the ramp though I noticed that sometimes she falls back down. Maybe I need to trim her nails have grown too long and I need to clip them but if you have a rabbit that can't climb well or doesn't like to climb ramps that's something to keep in mind.

I definitely think this makes a better indoor/garage hutch. It's great for my apartment because I know it's technically made for outdoor use so she can't get out of it easily (not that she really wants to). The instructions for assembling it aren't very great but I figured it out. The first page isn't so hard to follow but it seems like the instructions jump ahead as you move onto the second page.

Be prepared to spend a few hours setting this up and pay attention to where you screw the panels together. There will be holes already drilled into the parts that are supposed to have nails screwed in so make sure the side with the holes is facing the way it's supposed to. If you mess up (like I did) no worries, the wood is fairly soft and you can screw holes into the side that wasn't already drilled for you. If you intend to use this for indoor use I found that buying 2 stone raised rubber outdoor mats go well as a floor for this house.

I read in some of the comments that this house can fit two rabbits. I think that technically it's true but it would be a little cramped and if a bun wanted to lay down and relax it would have to have a whole floor to itself. So if you had two buns one would have to occupy the top level and one on the bottom. Otherwise I see how it would be a bit cramped.

Another thing I noticed when looking through the reviews is that I couldn't find a good picture to give a size comparison. It's one things to see the measurements listed in the description but I wanted a picture with the house in full view next to something that I could compare its size to for reference. I took a few pics of my bunny in front of her house and I hope that helps people understand what size this is. You can also spot her hay and bedding on the side and behind the house. An unopened bag of 12.5L CritterCare paper bedding stands a little over half the height of the hutch not including the roof/attic.
